Memorial Day Parade & Cookout

Believe it or not Memorial Day is upon us. The WN Baseball and Softball coaches and Board want to remind all baseball and softball players that they are invited to march in the Annual Memorial Day parade on Monday May 28^th.

Please meet in the parking lot across from St. Ann’s in uniform at 10 AM on Monday. We would suggest wearing sneakers as the players will march with their team from the Town Square to the Training Field.

Once the parade is completed, all are invited to the Bachelor Street fields for a cookout (all players in uniform will get a free meal) and games including – a Dunk Tank, Home Run Derby, Fastest Pitch, Fastest Base Runner and Long Toss. This is the time to show your stuff!!

With the celebrations almost here, below are a few housekeeping details to keep in mind:

Uniforms w/sneakers should be worn for the parade.
Players are allowed to toss candy, but please refrain from throwing candy at the crowd, we do not want anyone hurt.
The parking lot where we meet must be kept clean. Coaches and players must pick up any wrappers prior to marching.
Coaches will chaperone the players during the march, but parents / or guardian must meet their child at the Training Field immediately after the parade. The coaches will not be responsible for permitting children on the Fire Trucks.
