2012 Spring Baseball & Softball Registration Now Open
by posted 01/22/2012

Register Your Ball Player Today!

Baseball and softball registration is open for this spring. We will be dividing the players up into teams in mid-March, so if you want to have your player assigned to a team by the start of the season, register now.

Go to www.westnewburyyouthleague.org. Click on "Register Online" located in the left navigation bar, select your league, and follow the instructions.

There are a few new things to announce for this year:

 - T-ball is now open to pre-K children as well as K and 1st. Pre-K is limited, however, to players entering kindergarten in the fall.

- Minor League Baseball (1st & 2nd grade) will be now called Farm League and limited games against a neighboring community will be introduced.

- Major B Baseball (3rd & 4th grade) will be called Minor League and there will be competitive games against teams from surrounding communities.

- Major A Baseball (5th & 6th grade) will be known simply as Major League and there will be competitive games against teams from surrounding communities.

We will hold our Opening Day ceremony on Sunday April 29th and all Softball and Baseball players are welcome to participate in this tradition. And don't forget our Memorial Day cookout event! This has become an event that brings us together not only to march in the parade and recognize our veterans, but also to celebrate our children and our community.

Baseball has always been a welcoming community sport in West Newbury. Please consider volunteering some time to make this season a success for our children and community.

See you on the diamond!
